    Judy —

I do revise my LinkedIn profile periodically, although I should probably do this even more often. Many of us sometimes forget that an "up-to-date" profile needs to reflect the most current information.

Thanks for this "prod" — I'm off to check on my LinkedIn profile.

Thanks for the good words, PHyllis. I check my profile often, and when I see a mistake or know that I could place certain information in other windows with more space, I do so. It's an ever present task to do, but it does pay off in visits and new members of my book group. How's your group going?

Good to learn from each other!

Sorry Kathy, to be late in answering your post. Thanks for those kudos. What are you marketing?

I love that my LinkedIn "Book Marketing" group members provide so much good info for each other that I really only have to occasionally "check in." And I know that your group members do the same as I drop into your group too.

What bothers me in some comments on both groups is the author who does not seem willing to put in the time and effort (and, yes, it does require time and effort as you know) to learn as much as possible about book-related subjects.

Many people sound as if they expect to discover a magic wand that would eliminate the time and effort. But there is no such thing in my experience, although working with coaches/consultants can certainly shorten the time and personal effort.
