Would you just love to have a 24/7 sales team automatically working for you so you don’t have to even leave your office? Would you like to see how your eBook, special report, and articles or blog posts work as part of what I call “The Big Three Marketing Machine” to expand your profits?
Open your mind to discover the great power of these three successful online business strategies for your books, services, and other products.
One. The Short eBook
I believe in quality, so put some effort into your book to build your reputation and credibility to be the expert in your field.
Your ebook can be anywhere from 20-100 pages of a similar topic as your article and special report. It has sections or chapters. Each nonfiction book chapter will have a title and sub-title reflecting the particular problem you will solve. For each chapter, you will use the “Fast-Forward Writing Technique” (Ch 2 or my writing book) that is a blueprint for creating an engaging chapter with just one edit.
This technique gives each chapter a beginning with a hook and chapter benefits, a middle with the solutions such as pictures, quotes, how-to’s, tips, or stories, and an end. The end summarizes or calls for the reader to act or ponder of material within the chapter. The last paragraph states a few benefits of the next chapter, and compels the reader to turn the page to the next chapter.
If you write fiction, you will attract readers through your excerpts from the book you offer to the opt-in to your website subscription or newsletter.
Don’t undercharge for your eBook. Many Online buyers are willing to pay a lot for specific skills. Charge $14.95-$79.00, even more, depending on what you think your audience will pay. If they need it, or think they must have it because of an emotional need, you will sell your books at any price. When you charge the format from eBook or eCourse, you can charge $100, even $400.
One Other eBook you can Write
Write a short eBook of 10-25 pages and give it away to capture the person’s email. For instance, when you sign up for my free “20 High Octane Tips to Write, Publish, and Market Your Book,” you also get my weekly fresh information and irresistible offers. These emails will build your data base and then you can promote and stay in touch with them for a long time.
Now, watch your profits multiply! Some people will only want your freebies, but they will be so impressed by your expertise that they will forward your article or newsletter on to friends and associates who may be more impressed, visit your site, and buy either your special report or book. Some buyers of your Special Reports will also pass it on to others via email.
Don’t worry about stealing. You won’t lose anything. Think of your electronic pieces as library books, borrowed by some, bought by many. At the end of each book, list all of your other reports, books, or services with a live URL to click. Include even your ezine link to subscribe.
When shared online, the battalions of web users – your mighty 24/7 sales force — will read your words and pass them on, keeping your information in the buzz and making you famous. If not famous, at least financially well off. Smile.
Of course, your website, email, and business name plus the book title is on each page in the headers and footers of your book and reports.
Book Coach’s Tips:
- If you have a print book, it can also be part of this powerful team.
- You can build an eBook from articles or you can create articles and blog posts from your eBook.
Two. The Special Report
Expand an article you wrote with stories, examples, and resources to create your new Special Report. Create 4-10 pages of specific information your audience wants. Charge $6.95-$10.95 or more for this report. Upload as a landing page to your site as a product, or be willing to give this away as a special bonus for some of your more expensive products or services.
A few years back we updated one of my popular ebooks and we repackaged a lot of different products. We called them “Recession Specials” that included teleseminar transcripts, MP3 audios of teleseminars, and parts from longer books updated as Special Reports.
We priced them low at $6.95 and the sales have been amazing. At the end of each of these, we put opportunities to buy my other related products or services (known as an up sell).
Three. The Informational Article (Blog Post)
The online article is the key to getting that targeted free traffic to your website. You have a choice: You can submit 1-2 weekly to only the top article directory such as ezinearticles.com or hubpages.com. Or, you can use these on your blog (like WordPress) that Google loves and will boost your traffic each time you write one.
By writing blog posts for your product and service’s targeted audience by using keywords and topics specific to them, you bridge the great Internet divide. These posts show you as the trusted mentor, the “go to” person, the expert in your field that leads to more business success and profits.
If you write fiction, you can write articles on each character in a particular conflict that also pulls readers and sales.
This marketing also works for speakers, professional coaches, solo professionals and small businesses with products or services to sell. It attracts your audience to you because they know you know something they want or need. Attraction marketing works.
Whether you write fiction or nonfiction, your online audience awaits your important, well-written words. They are hungry for information, inspiration, and entertainment. Your talent and “know how” lead them back to your book-selling site. Your web sales will expand as your numbers of articles published increase.
Make sure you are consistent in your article production – 1-2 a week for your blog is good too.
But your content marketing for your blog posts and articles doesn’t stop there. Share this great information with your email subscribers, twitter followers, Facebook fans, LinkedIn connections, and LinkedIn groups to see the traffic bump from each piece you write grow exponentially. Now you’re tapping into he force of viral marketing!
That’s the great power of the BIG THREE Marketing Machine!
